How to Participate

Dominion Energy is partnering with Resideo Technologies to optimize your smart thermostat(s). Simply enroll the qualifying smart thermostats in your home in the program. When you sign up for the Smart Thermostat Rewards Program, you allow Dominion Energy to make minor, short-term adjustments to your thermostat settings via your Wi-Fi thermostat. This small change (usually 1-3°) reduces power use during periods of high demand for electricity and reduces strain on the electric grid. And you’ll always have ultimate control. Start Saving

Enroll your smart thermostat(s) in the Smart Thermostat Rewards Program
Enroll in the Smart Thermostat Rewards Program before September 30 and receive $25 after your first summer of enrollment. Plus, if you participate in at least 75% of the event hours of the summer season, you will receive an additional $10, for a total first-year incentive award of $35, and $10 per year thereafter.

You can override the temperature during an energy event. This will opt you out of the scheduled event, which impacts your participation rate.

*Events typically occur during the summer months, but could occur other times of the year.

How to Enroll
