How the Smart Thermostat Demand Response Program works

If a summer weather event is scheduled, your thermostat may automatically and briefly adjust to pre-cool your home right before the event. Then, during the scheduled event hours, your thermostat setting automatically adjusts up by two to four degrees. You can opt-out of the event at any time.

Receive a $50 reward from Idaho Power when you successfully sign up for the Smart Thermostat Demand Response program. Conditions apply. Please see Idaho Power’s website for full program terms.
After participating for a year you can earn an extra $5 credit on your July-October bills by participating in at least 50% of the demand response hours for each month.
Each event will be no longer than 4 hours.
In the summer season, events can occur between 3 p.m. and 11 p.m.
You can opt-out of an event at any time by changing the temperature setting on your thermostat.
