• One-time $50 bill credit for enrolling in the program.
• Annual participation credit of up to $20 for participation in NV PowerShift Energy Flex Response for the months of June through September.

Eligible customers must have purchased and installed an NV Energy PowerShift approved smart thermostat.

During the peak summer months, on days when the demand for electricity is at its highest, NV Energy will initiate Flex Response.  In Flex Response, a signal is sent to your thermostat to increase the setpoint temperature up to 4 degrees.  Although these events are optional, by participating, you can help reduce statewide power consumption and electricity load to ensure a stable energy supply.

• Immediately before Flex Response, your home may be pre-cooled by a few degrees.  Depending on how well it is insulated, your home should remain comfortable.
• While the event is underway, your temperature set point will increase up to four degrees, but your home will not instantly become warmer.  In fact, you may not notice any temperature change at all.
• At the end of the event, your thermostat returns to its target temperature and your original schedule.
• Flex Response occurs between June and September and usually lasts two hours.

Through Flex Response participation you can earn bill credits that get applied to your bill at the end of the year.
