How NW Natural Thermostat Rewards works
If a winter cold weather event is scheduled, your thermostat may automatically and briefly adjust to pre-heat your home right before the event. Then, during the scheduled event hours, your thermostat setting automatically adjusts down by two to four degrees. You can opt-out of the event at any time. Your participation could assist with efficient natural gas service to NW Natural customers and help you reduce your natural gas use.
- Receive a $25 reward from NW Natural when you successfully sign up for NW Natural Thermostat Rewards.
- Get another $25 incentive when you participate in at least 50% of event hours in the winter season.
- There are typically no more than ten events during the winter season, and each event will be no longer than 4 hours.
- In the winter season, events can occur between 7 a.m. and 11 a.m.
- You can opt-out of an event at any time by changing the temperature setting on your thermostat.

How to Enroll
Sign into your ecobee thermostat account, follow the enrollment steps, accept the terms and confirm your enrollment information is correct. To ensure a quick review process, make sure your enrollment information matches NW Natural’s primary account holder’s information.
Community Energy Savings is a feature within eco+ that works with your smart thermostat and your utility company
After downloading the ecobee app, you will be prompted to sign in/create your ecobee account.
You will be asked to create your home by providing your home address and details.
Enter the code displayed on your ecobee to complete your registration.
You will now proceed into the CES enrollment flow.
Go to Edit Home
Select Utility Provider
Click Get Rebate
