Make your smart thermostat even more efficient through Pepco’s Energy Wise Rewards™! Your smart thermostat already helps you save energy and money while keeping you comfortable but you can save even more. When you participate in Energy Wise Rewards, you help prevent energy shortages and power interruptions, and you protect the environment by reducing emissions from power plants. Plus, you can receive bill credits.

How to Participate

Pepco is partnering with Resideo to connect with your smart thermostat(s) through the Connected Savings portal. Simply enroll your qualifying smart thermostats and select the Energy Wise Rewards option. Feel free to visit our FAQ page here.

Pepco’s ENERGY WISE REWARDS™ Residential

Save energy and money automatically in your home when you enroll your smart thermostat in Energy Wise Rewards. You’ll receive up to $40 in bill credits, per device, each year you participate.The program works by initiating conservation periods for participating central air conditioners or heat pumps on Peak Savings Days, select summer days when energy demand is high. There are typically five Peak Savings Days between June and October each year. They are usually scheduled between noon and 8 p.m. and last no more than 4 hours.

Pepco’s ENERGY WISE REWARDS™ Business

Energy Wise Rewards for Business is an energy management program for businesses, nonprofits, congregations, and other commercial customers. The program manages high energy demand periods, which could lead to energy shortages and power interruptions, by cycling central air conditioners and heat pumps off and on during times of peak electricity use, typically between June and October each year. When you participate you not only receive up to $80 in bill credits, per device, each year you help the environment by reducing emissions from power plants.
