How the Smart Energy Program works
During an SCE Energy Event, an automatic signal is sent to your smart thermostat to adjust the temperature setting minimizing A/C energy usage. Events can be called anytime throughout the year for up to four hours, per day. An emergency event can be called for up to six hours. Events will occur on non-holiday weekdays and weekends between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m. Multiple events per day can be called but cannot exceed a maximum of four hours per day.
