How the Connected Savings Program Works
When you sign up for Connected Savings, you allow minor, short-term adjustments to be made to your ductless mini split via your D6 Pro Controller. This small change (usually 1-3°) reduces power use during periods of high demand for electricity and reduces strain on the electric grid. In most cases, you won’t notice adjustments to your system, or your comfort. And you’ll always have ultimate control.
Using less power pays off! The program provides stable costs for everyone since this small change reduces the need to build additional infrastructure within the energy grid.

What are the eligibility requirements?
To be eligible, you must have:
- You must be a PSEG Long Island Account Owner
- Devices must be installed in the towns of East Hampton or Southampton
- Compatible Ductless mini-split system (see compatibility list)
- D6 Thermostats must be installed, registered to your Honeywell Home account, and enrolled in Connected Savings. To enroll in Connected Savings click on “Sign Up.”
- A Wi-Fi internet connection
What can I expect?
Here’s what you can expect when you successfully join this program:
- A maximum of up to 10 events each summer, unless there is a power emergency.
- Each event will last no longer than four hours and will take place sometime between 1:00 p.m. and 11 p.m.
- You’ll only get one event a day.
- You will always have control of your thermostat and can change the settings at any time
What is Connected Savings?
Connected Savings is a service provided by Resideo Technologies at no cost to you, thanks to South Fork Peak Savers. By giving Connected Savings permission to make minor adjustments to your thermostat, we can better manage energy usage and reduce strain on the electrical grid through your smart thermostat! Don’t worry, you have ultimate control of your home’s environment at all times.
How do I un-enroll or opt-out of Connected Savings?
To un-enroll or opt-out of Connected Savings, please email your request details to energysupport@resideo.com.
Our support team will be in touch with you regarding your request within two business days. Please include as much detail as possible, including the email you used during enrollment. In addition, any feedback you can provide to help improve Connected Savings will be valued.
