When you enroll, we will make brief, limited adjustments to your thermostat during peak energy periods in the summer to reduce demand on the electric grid. You are always in control and can override the settings at any time. In the Fall, you will receive a $30 bill credit will be applied to your bill while enrolled in the program.

You’ll help maintain stability when the electrical grid gets too stressed. We’ll keep you comfortable while we manage your energy use during expensive peak energy periods to help keep the electrical grid stable and keep energy costs low for your community.

• CPS Energy will give you $85 per thermostat for signing up. If you stay enrolled, you’ll receive an additional $30 per household after the Summer season ends.
• Allow CPS Energy to make temporary adjustments to your thermostat(s) during times of peak energy usage.
• Events typically occur between the hours 1:00 PM and 7:00 PM during the Summer, and between 6:00 AM and 9:00 PM during the Winter, Monday – Friday, excluding weekends and holidays (except during emergencies).
• You will always have control of your thermostat(s) and can override the energy event settings at any time.
